Dandelion
Dandelion’s story is one of resilience and transformation! She absolutely broke our hearts when we learned she was delivering puppies in a shelter, just hours after she was seized from a massive hoarding/neglect situation. She was so matted that she could not see and could not freely move. She was immediately rushed to a foster home where she laid, exhausted, and nursed her puppies for the three hours it took to shave her. Despite going through pregnancy and labor in deplorable conditions, she was an absolutely excellent mom to four gorgeous puppies who have all found their forever homes. And now some lucky family gets to write the final chapter of her redemption story!
Dandelion can be understandably shy with new people but once she lets her guard down, her playful and curious nature shines through. She loves ear rubs, belly rubs, tushie rubs… Once those nasty mats were gone and she discovered the feeling of caring touch, she can’t get enough of it. She is about two years old with a classic poodle coat so will require regular grooming. She gets along well with the dogs in her foster home but is definitely more interested in her people than other dogs, so would be fine as an only dog. She is low/medium energy but will bark at unfamiliar noises so a busy apartment building is likely not a great fit for her.
Dandelion just wants affection and companionship; her joyful tail wags as she nuzzles into your neck will absolutely melt your heart!
